Questionnaire analysis
The results have been gathered from giving out our questionnaire to 100 different people so we could try and ask a variety of different people.
The first question asked what gender the person was answering the questionnaire. As you can see just over half of the people were male and the rest female, we would have preferred 50 male & 50 female but this was the closest we got because we gave these out to people at random. On the other hand having a larger amount of the male gender answer is a good thing because the target audience my group are aiming for with our trailer is more men than women.
The second question asks what age you are between. Most of the people who filled out the questionnaires are between the ages of either 0-17 or 18-24 years old which is also another good thing. This is because the target audience we are aiming for is roughly between the ages of 18-30 and with so many people answering between this age range we know we will get the best end results.
The third question starts to get more to the point of the questionnaire and starts to throw in the film aspect. It asks if they like the horror genre and as you can see from the results there is only a small fraction of people who don't enjoy horror movies. With a large amount of people either liking or not minding horror films this will give us a good in-look when we ask questions later on in the questionnaire because of all the horror fans who have answered the questions will help us decide what to put in the the trailer. Also this questionnaire shows that the horror genre has a very big target audience so we will be able to attract a large audience with our trailer.
Next we asked the 100 people what aspect of horror they like the most and from this result we will put this in our trailer so people are more likely to talk about it to there friends about how good it looks. With these results we were able to see what people liked the most so we could concentrate on it more than the other parts to make sure we get more in of what the audience like and in this case the results say the character & storyline.
The fifth question consisted of what villains people find the scariest and the results say that it is mysterious creatures/real life situations. With this information we have gathered from people, we can now choose one of these to be a villain/killer which appeals to more of the audience than the other 2 options do.
Lastly we come to one of the most important questions which will really set what happens in the trailer, what is the scariest part of them film. A great amount of people like the gore part of the horror genre so this could also be put into the film to attract a larger audience. Furthermore large amount said they like it when it becomes more fast paced and the adrenaline starts to pump round the body because you feel attached to the character. The means our trailer should have a fast paced aspect to it which makes the audience feel a bit on edge and they aren't sure whats going to happen.
